Agile at Lean HE Global Festival: October 19-23
Agile is delighted to support the Lean HE Global Festival which takes place online from 19-23 October.
We have three presentations included in the line-up:
Wednesday October 21st at 14.30: Remit Mapping – Just what is your team doing now?
This session is facilitated by Michael Sinnott, Director of Agile.
If you run or work with teams/units and have found the need, at some point, to help them clarify just what it is they do before helping them set out on a process improvement or change journey, this session might be for you.
From this session you will get:
- The Concept – The ideas behind remit mapping
- The Tool – The elements of a remit map
- The Method -How to run a remit mapping workshop
- The Approach -The different ways you can use the remit map, and the energy of the team liberated in creating it.

Thursday October 22nd at 14:30: Running operations – innovative responses to customer needs and queries
Jeremy Britton (USM Project Lead) will show how UCD has been using Wufoo, an online form builder, to respond to some of the many challenges faced in student/staff interactions. This approach empowers those closest to the interactions to innovate and respond, making it easier to provide the services and better meeting the needs of those in contact.
This event is part of our Work Smarter Together October event – register here!
And finally…
Friday October 23rd at 14.30 Experience Mapping – Seeing through the eyes of our students.
In this session Olga Murdoch will show how UCD used experience mapping to address the challenge of silo-based, non-integrated student services and supports, a challenge not uncommon in higher education institutions, as well as how the insights gained can guide us in dealing with some of the challenges triggered by COVID 19.
