WST21: Work smart while being apart

WST21 needs you! If you have an interesting story to tell – something innovative you have done with your team or other colleagues – some lessons you have learned – make sure to respond to the call for participation when we return to work in January.

WST21 aims to deliver a week of events that will bring you, the UCD community, together to hear from each other as well as some guest speakers about what it takes to “work smart while being apart”.  WST21 will take place from 08 – 12 March 2021.

What makes WST so special is the diverse and broad reaching contributions from all corners of the University community. WST21 needs you!  Just like in previous years, we will be sending out a call for participation. Have a think about your UCD experience since March. If you have an interesting story to tell – something innovative you have done with your team or other colleagues – some lessons you have learned – make sure to respond to the call for participation when we return to work in January.

The upside of running a digital event is that WST21 will be able to accommodate a much broader variety of content. We will be re-imagining the poster competition and will be looking to you for novel formats for your contributions. We will of course also be looking for UCD presentations and panel discussions – and there will be a guest speaker or two for you to look forward too.

As always, at the heart of WST21 is having a chance to connect with colleagues, new and old, share stories and experiences, and learn from each other. After the 2020 experience we have all endured – together – this is now more important than ever. WST21 will take full advantage of our digital environment, providing the UCD community with opportunities to connect beyond the sessions – bringing the ‘corridor conversations’ we once knew back to life.
